Specimen Viewer – Product Photography
New products are developed and marketed when someone recognizes a definite need. Combining the obvious need and the skills to create a solution results in a product that will aid in the completion of a specific job.
In this case, my client saw that during medical procedures such as colonoscopies, tissue samples are collected in a dark environment. Seeing the tissue samples can be quite difficult in low light levels found in the procedure rooms. My client’s solution was a backlit tray that holds 4 or 5 vials that allow viewing of the samples in a dark room. It is a simple and elegant solution that will definitely aid the doctors and technicians to perform their procedures.
There are two versions of the tray. One has openings for five vials, the other has openings for four vials and a supply of toothpicks to be able to manipulate the specimens. He has created the new company, gotten copyright and patent pending for the trays. He is in the process of creating a website and other necessary tasks to market his products. In the future, we hope to photograph his trays in a clinical environment. Fortunately, my client recognizes the importance of quality photography in marketing his products.
