Julio Avila – WTKR News 3 Headshots

Julio Avila is WTKR News 3’s newest reporter. He joins WTKR from WETM TV in Elmira, NY where he worked as a multimedia reporter, anchor, producer, and editor. Julio will be serving as a general reporter at News 3.

Julio is originally from Long Island, NY. He received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism and Broadcast Journalism from Stony Brook University in 2016. He worked as an intern for the Long Islander Newspaper, WSHU Public Radio Group and WABC TV in New York City. In July of 2017, he began his work at WETM.
