Dr. Fred Dobbs – Headshot Photography

Dr. Dobbs is a professor and department chair of the Ocean, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences school at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. Dr. Dobbs received his Ph.D. from Florida State University, held post-doctoral positions at SUNY Stony Brook and University of Hawaii, and joined the faculty at Old Dominion University in 1993. His expertise is in biological oceanography; marine microbial ecology; disease ecology. His research interests are in Marine microbial ecology, microbiology of ships’ ballast tanks, disease ecology, bioelectrics and plastics in the environment.

Dr. Dobbs came to us for his headshots, wanting a classic style business portrait as well as a more casual look. It was a pleasure getting to know Dr. Dobbs, especially since I had at one time been a graduate student at the Department of Oceanography.
