Before and After Post-production in Architectural Photography
Architecture photography, like most types of photography, requires post-processing (retouching) to make the images look their best. Post-processing is an art form all to itself and can frequently take much more time than the actual time creating the image.
There are often many distracting elements such as trash cans, power lines, oil-stained parking lots, signs, etc. that need to be removed or cleaned up. Parts of the building need to be lightened or darkened usually done by combining multiple exposures. Blown out or dull skies can be replaced to give a more dramatic feel to the image. Whether you are an architect, contractor, engineering firm, or leasing company, don’t settle for quick photos or cell phone images. Make sure that you show your property at its best.
