We have been looking forward to this wedding ever since we learned of Kelsey’s engagement to Christian. Originally, the wedding was going to be later in the year, but Christian received orders to move to Washington DC where he will become part of the U S Coast Guard Honor Guard. He said he wasn’t going to move without Kelsey, so an earlier wedding was planned. They chose The Pavilion at Shenandoah Woods. This location is only 4 years old, but has quickly become one of Virginia’s premier wedding locations. Weather was perfect for this late June wedding. The couple kept this event more intimate but are planning a much bigger reception later in the year.
Congratulations to Kelsey and Christian and thank you for having us as your wedding photographers.
Emily is a beautiful and talented senior in Chesapeake, planning on entering Tidewater Community College in the fall. Eventually she plans on transferring to William and Mary in a couple of years. Emily has danced at Academie de Ballet for all but one year of her dance training. She has studied lyrical, contemporary, jazz, ballet, adagio, and pointe. In Masterworks recent productions, she has had the honor of performing as the Harlequin Doll and Anna in A Storyland Christmas, Older Lily in Lily and the Gypsies, various ensemble roles, Moses’ Mother in Eternal Covenant and the Nutty Girl in the mini ballet, The Graduation Ball at Academie de Ballet’s 2016 recital. At the age of 16, she traveled with Masterworks Touring Company to North Carolina to play the speaking part of Grace in The Journey of Grace. Dance, especially that of ballet, is a passion of hers and she delights in sharing the art form. She hopes that through the joy of ballet she can communicate the joy of the Lord to both students and audiences alike.
As you can tell from the photos, Sophia is a harpist. More than that though, she is an incredibly talented harpist. She has been playing at concerts, events, weddings, etc. for many years. She has played alone and with her quite large family, all of whom are great musicians. She will be attending a Young Artist Harp Seminar this Summer. Sophia will then be attending James Madison University in the fall. She will be majoring in harp performance. If you ever have an opportunity to hear her play, don’t pass it up. It was a pleasure to create these images with Sophia.
Stephanie and Jessica are both models and dancers who I frequently work with. They are both members of the Masterworks Touring Company in Chesapeake. This was a self assignment. an idea from Stephanie and her husband A.J. We were able to shoot at the Rohrer family farm. The Rohrers own Chariots for Hire, a horse and carriage service for weddings and other events. They let us use one of their horses, Fancy, for the shoot. Fancy is a beautiful horse. She was very cooperative throughout the session. We were all pleased with the images. I’m sure we will be working together again soon.
For actors, this time of year is known as pilot season. We have been busy updating actor’s head shots as they prepare for their auditions. First we meet Imari. She’s relatively new to acting and these are her first professional head shots.
