Those that know me and my work know of my love of photographing dance and dancers, something I have been doing for over 30 years. During that time, my most frequent collaborator, and I would say my muse, has been Jessica Hartsfield. Jessica is an accomplished dancer, teacher, choreographer, and now, businesswoman.
Shaping Space Choreography began in 2021 when Founder, Jessica Hartsfield, realized the rising need for choreography outside the traditional dance studio setting. Having traveled abroad with a touring Contemporary dance company, she saw first hand, dance used as a universal language. This sparked the idea for a service-based business that brings dance into any space, where it can be used to speak messages, shape space, and inspire others.
With an extensive background in teaching and choreographing dance in the U.S. and recently, internationally, Jessica draws from over 25 years of experience in multiple styles of dance including Ballet, Musical Theater, and Contemporary to create unique, customized movement and choreography for clients.
